On Tuesday, April 7th, USCIS announced that they reached the FY2016 mandated H-1B Cap (before processing final cases for the lottery selection) and would be using a lottery system to select cases that will be receipted and adjudicated. We have now been informed that the H-1 Lottery was ran today and that USCIS had received a record of nearly 233,000 Petitions.  USCIS also reaffirmed their intention to stick to their preadvised processing times.  On our end, we have confirmation that all cases we filed were received by USCIS for lottery consideration and we will reach out to individual clients as we receive information about their filing.  For USCIS’s government announcement on hitting the quota and completing the lottery, please visit the USCIS site –  http://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/uscis-completes-h-1b-cap-random-selection-process-fy-2016
