Alex Bierman is an Associate Attorney at Brown Immigration Law working primarily with hi-tech startups on nonimmigrant and immigrant visa applications. Alex leverages her past experiences in employment law and litigation to help devise strategy and implement the best hiring solutions for clients in fast paced environments across the country.
Alex attended the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law where she first ignited her passion for guiding clients through complex legal matters. She was a focal part of the RD Hurd Clinic, serving as the Vice President of the Board, while providing legal services to low-income communities. In addition to her studies, she also served as Vice President of the Public Interest Network, and as a member of the board for the National Native American Law Students Association. Alex was a recipient of the Access to Justice Award for her extensive pro bono work advocating for underserved communities. Her experiences in law school prepared her to be a strong partner to HR departments and foreign nationals alike.
Outside of the office, Alex enjoys spending time with her family that includes her husband Aaron, their son, and their two Westies – Molly and Finn. Alex is passionate about traveling, having trekked across Eastern Europe in Albania, Montenegro, Kosovo, and Croatia in addition to trips to Italy and Spain in college. However, these days she admits her preferred destination is someplace warm with a beautiful beach.
