Akshi Pruthi is an Associate Attorney at Brown Immigration Law with global experience, having lived and worked as an attorney in India and the United States. At Brown Immigration Law, Akshi has honed her exceptional writing skills, focusing her practice on drafting EB-1s and O-1s for individuals of extraordinary ability, in addition to her more expansive services including nonimmigrant visas like H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, H-1B1, J-1, F-1, and E-2 and all aspects of the employment-based green card process.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Economics from Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Government Law College, Mumbai, University of Mumbai, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law. Akshi’s varied legal experience spans post-graduate work, internships, and clerkships in India and the United States, covering multiple areas of practice including corporate law; immigration; insolvency and bankruptcy; and litigation and disputes, among others. This diverse background equips her with a comprehensive understanding of the legal landscape in both countries. 

No matter the case she is working on, Akshi is committed to ensuring that both the individuals and corporate clients feel supported throughout the process and have the knowledge needed to make informed business decisions. 

Outside of the office, Akshi is an avid reader who enjoys diving into the classics. She has a deep passion for tennis as a long-time player as well as a dedicated fan of the sport. Additionally, Akshi is trilingual, fluent in both Hindi and English, and she has conversational proficiency in Punjabi.
