Bárbara Vaz is a Supervising Attorney at Brown Immigration Law who has over a decade of professional legal expertise; the last six years she’s spent in providing comprehensive legal services to both corporate and individual clients on a wide array of Canadian Immigration matters.
Bárbara routinely manages applications for temporary and permanent residence, which include business visitors, work permits, labor market impact assessments, and permanent residence through express entry and provincial nominations. She also has experience in a variety of Quebec immigration programs.
Bárbara’s professional career began after she obtained a Bachelor of Law from Universidade Estadual de Londrina in Brazil, which laid the foundation for her diverse legal experience. While practicing in Brazil, Bárbara specialized in Civil, Criminal, Family, and Tax law. After a decade of practice in Brazil, Bárbara first qualified as a licensed consultant before finalizing the equivalence of her foreign degree to obtain her law license in Ontario. Since beginning of her journey in immigration law, she’s worked primarily in business and family matters with several prominent immigration law firms in Canada before joining Brown Immigration Law.
Bárbara’s career is marked by a commitment to excellence, a result-oriented approach, and a deep understanding of the unique circumstances surrounding each case. Her diligence and mindfulness of deadlines, along with her ability to manage client expectations effectively.
Outside her practice, Bárbara enjoys traveling around the world, spending time with her family, playing with her cats, and cooking. Bárbara is also passionate about languages and trying different cuisines. She is fluent in English, Brazilian Portuguese, and conversational in Spanish, and French.
