2023 saw a flurry of changes related to I-9 compliance which started with the end of COVID 19 Pandemic flexibility, the requirement to bring COVID era I-9 remote worker completion into compliance, and then the unveiling of virtual I-9 compliance. With the updating of I-9 compliance related procedure complete for now the federal government has indicated a willingness to further strengthen to compliance apparatus by auditing U.S. employers. This session, led by Managing Partner David Zaritzky Brown, focused directly on the latest I-9 compliance best practices, the errors we commonly see, and how to avoid possible liability should your company be the subject of an audit.
